You have worked hours on end, used hundreds, even thousands of dollars and you still are not making much money. You are not making enough money to even cover the expenses you have had. Are you a failure? You are a failure, only if you choose to be. There are hundreds of home businesses out there. You could not be a failure at all of them. You could not even begin to make an effort to try them all. I am not suggesting that trying them all would even be an option. When you give up or quit trying, then you have failed. Maybe the home-based business you chose to make your fortune in, is not the business for you, but you can never quit trying. In fact, only trying, is not an option. You do not try, you succeed. What kind of plan did you have when you chose the home-based business you are in, and what makes you feel like a failure? When you began in this business, what were your expectations and were those expectations realistic? What would it take to make you a success at this home-based business? Does this business fit into society? You must be able to answer these questions before you begin any business, whether it is a home-based business or not. Whether it is profitable, will be up to you. Are you the failure or is it the business? Maybe the business is just not for you because you jumped into it too quickly. If your home-based business has become a stone around your neck, you do not need to give up being a home-based business success. Maybe the home-business you are envolved in, is really not the home business for you. Maybe you are not even interested in the product or service that you are promoting. Just because it was advertised as making easy money, lots of money, with no experience needed; this does not make it a wise choice. Now ask yourself, do you know about any free lunches in this life? There are none. Never forget that, whatever you start out to do. And, taking the risk that you will immediately quit reading this article, there is something else you should always remember: if something sounds to good to be true; it usually is.Now, do not label yourself as a failure. Do some intense research. Like it was mentioned before, there are hundreds of home-businesses. Find one you like. Find one that you not only like, but you like the product or service and the way it is presented. Is it a reasonable service or product? How many people do you think will be interested in it? What does it cost? How much will it cost you to promote it? How much money can you put into selling this service or product? Do you really believe it is something other people will want? Is it marketable? Now that you are interested in this type of home-based business, you need to plan further. Look for a mentor. Again, there are many of them out there, all promoting their skills at mentoring. Find as many as you can. Look into them all. Look at their skills and the way they present themselves. What are their techniques? How many followers does this mentor have, and not just those posted in their profiles. Look at what they have accomplished. Is there any mention of them in other places or on other sites? What kind of background can you find on this mentor or mentoring group? What does he or she or the group expect out of you as a person or participant? Will they be there in the long run or just give you a running start? The mentor you choose, is as important as the type of home-based business you choose. It might be wise to choose a mentor that is representing the same sort of product or service that you are interested in. If you are interested in generally being successful in any home-based business, then the choice of a mentor is all most unlimited. Webster’s dictionary defines a mentor as a trusted counselor or teacher.Once you have made the choice of a home-based business and a mentor. Keep your ears open and listen closely to what your mentor has to say. Your mentor will be able to guide you and give you advise. The advise you get will be very important if you are to make progress and become a success. Your mentor will be like a compass and will be able to keep you on course. This is not to say that you should never question your mentor. A mentor is not a dictator, just a person interested in you and how you achieve success. You are not a failure. You do not have to stop trying. When you choose to be successful in a home-based business, just do some homework. If you had one thousand dollars to invest in the stock market, would you not take some time looking at all the stocks available and get some advise before you just put your money in any stock? This would be especially true if you had already lost money in the stock market before? Your time is worth money, so make it count. Invest in yourself and your return will be successful.Edward Simmons said,”The difference between failure and success is doing a thing nearly right and doing a thing exactly right”. Hard work and determination will give you the probability of the success you want. So, are you a failure at your home-based business? The answer remains, only if you choose to be.References:
